Defining a Single Call: Finding Coin Addresses in the Noise
🧭 The first hurdle was parsing: pulling only valid Solana addresses from noisy chat and setting rules for how to count spam. If the foundation wobbles, every statistic does.
Collecting calls was not as simple as it sounds. Telegram messages pour in with jokes, images, links, and chatter all mixed together with coin addresses. So the first real job was deciding what counts as a single call. We taught the system to recognize the format of a Solana coin address, extract it cleanly, filter out everything that was not an address, and set rules for how to count the same address when a room spams it repeatedly. It is unglamorous work, but if this parsing layer is not solid, every statistic built on top of it wobbles, so it became the foundation we cared about most.
