🧭 Computed market cap from price times supply to compare coins on one scale, standardizing units as K, M, and B. This became the language of later analysis, like a fresh coin near a 150K cap.
A single price number cannot compare the size of coins. You cannot assume a coin at 0.0001 dollars is smaller than one at 0.01, because the number of tokens issued differs for each. So we computed market cap by multiplying price by total supply, letting us rank coins on the same scale. We also settled on units here, standardizing on thousands (K), millions (M), and billions (B) so readers could grasp scale intuitively. It seems trivial, but the units that later became the language of our analysis, like a fresh coin near a 150K market cap, were set down here.
