Everything in a Box: Containerizing With Docker
🧭 Wrapped every component in Docker containers so one command reproduces the same environment anywhere. The database lives on a separate volume so records survive restarts. A base where redeploying is no longer scary.
As components multiply, the problem of works on my machine but not on the server grows. With the bridge, the backend, the database, and external calls all intertwined, we needed a way to reproduce the whole environment. So we wrapped every component in Docker containers, so that a single command brings up the same environment identically anywhere. The database was kept on a separate volume so that call records would not vanish when a container was restarted. This gave us a sturdy operational base where fixing a feature and redeploying it was no longer something to fear.
