The Control Room: Admin Tools for Managing Rules
🧭 Built an admin screen to create, edit, and toggle rules, with new conditions reflecting consistently across backend, interface, and backtester. It enabled a fast cycle: register a hypothesis and watch it for days.
As rules multiplied, we could not turn them on and off, adjust conditions, and inspect performance by touching the database directly each time. So we set up an admin screen to create, edit, and toggle rules active or inactive. We wired it so that adding a new condition reflects consistently across the backend, the interface, and the backtester. Thanks to this control room, we could register a hypothesis as a rule the very day it occurred to us and watch it for a few days, enabling a fast cycle of experimentation. With the tools in place, our readiness to analyze in earnest was nearly complete.
