Acting On It: Wiring Up Auto-Buy, Carefully
🧭 For select rules, orders forward to an auto-buy bot the instant a signal fires. As a money path it is handled most conservatively, with duplicate prevention before dispatch. Safety before convenience.
Good entries often vanished in the gap between receiving an alert and manually opening an exchange. So for select rules, we wired it so that an order is forwarded to an auto-buy bot the moment a signal fires. But because this is a path where money actually moves, we handled it most conservatively: processing duplicate prevention before dispatch, and explicitly marking which rules are auto-buy targets. The principle that safety comes before convenience would harden later, after an incident where one small bug nearly spiraled into infinite buying. Automation is powerful, but it had to be handled with corresponding fear.
