Wide and Shallow: We Needed Finer Money-Flow Data
🧭 To see money flow, our data was too coarse. We began building a tracker that follows every called coin over time regardless of re-mention, cutting survivorship bias at the source: a turn toward observing the aftermath.
We had turned toward the flow of money, but when we tried to actually see it, we realized our data was too coarse. This day's market was one of calls scattered wide and shallow, with no clear consensus. We needed to know who buys and who sells, and whether funds flow in or drain out after entry, but call counts alone did not reveal what was inside. So we began building a feature to track the price of every called coin over time, following even the coins never mentioned again, to cut off at the source the illusion of seeing only survivors. It was the turning point where we, who had chased entry signals, began building tools to observe what comes after entry.
